BKA isn’t just about turning a profit; one of the company’s core values is philanthropy. We are always looking for ways to give back to the community and make it a point to do so a couple of times throughout the year.

In May, BKA matched the money that members of our virtual workplace earned for Pencils for Promise by participating in our May in Motion wellness challenge. This month, we’ve been working hard building Legos. And no, that’s not an oxymoron! You should hear Jon go on about how his 5-year-old follows directions better than Drew or Liz when they glue bricks in the wrong place. Ahem. Even with a misplaced Lego or two, the end result is the AWESOME Pulp Brick-tion creation pictured below!

The story behind the Lego tree? As a content writing company, we know the importance of words. But sometimes it takes more than words to facilitate meaningful communication that moves beyond the pulp.

Whether you’re 5 or 55, the universal language of Legos bridges generation gaps so that nothing gets lost in translation. Our tree is dedicated to building better relationships and creating memories—one brick at a time!

The tree will be auctioned off, and every penny raised is used to give “A Gift of Love” to children at Primary Children’s Hospital here in Utah. If you live in the Ogden or Salt Lake City area, you can also support the cause by purchasing tickets to the Festival of Trees and perusing the pines in person. (Alliteration, anyone?) The BKA tree is in Aisle M, Space 20. There are also some amazing ginger bread houses, wreaths and other crafts on display.
